I am looking for a benchtop high pressure apparatus for carrying out microscale (25 ml) hydrogenation reaction. This is to test new catalysts. Can anyone suggest an affordable model?
First of all never bargain safety for saving money. Your autoclave must be equipped with a device, which can safely burst in case of too high pressure. This can be an appropriate manometer, but preferably use double safety, i.e. manometer together with a pressure rupture disc. You can save a lot by choosing magnetic stirring (instead of mechanic) with a sacrifice of stirring efficiency, which can be very important in many case. This is not a website for advertisement. I think if you type "high pressure reactor' or 'high pressure autoclave' on a web browser you'll get enough idea about it
Thanks a lot for your valuable input. I understand that this is not a place for advertisement. I only wanted to know what are the popular makes that scientists are using today. I am sure that none of the scientists do marketing here. I am looking for recommendations based on their vast experience.
