@ Pozdniakova M.A. Interview contingents will be patients from home health agencies. The capstone project's focus is the development of a more robust chronic disease self-management intervention. Scientific studies indicate that health literacy assessments can, and do, improve self-management as well as self-efficacy. However, the HL assessments I've seen are strictly 'functional' literacy. A patient's ability to pronounce words or make associations with terminology does not necessarily translate into having the knowledge needed to self-manage one's chronic illness. thank you for responding. I will check again with the university reviewer re: devising my own questionnaires.
