I suggest that you first orient yourself to the core data visualization tools, starting with the works of Edward Tufte and Stephen Few. These individuals present very important principles when displaying information quantitatively. The inforgraphic tools can easily distort the findings, even though they may appear to be aesthetically pleasing. These individuals provide very sound principles for constructing visual displays of your data. Starting here is far better, in my opinion, than starting with the software. You know your data better than the graphics software.
