I want to study the effect of PM 2.5 and PM 10 on different cell lines, but I'm reading that all studies have been performed on PM isolated directly from air. Anyone know if I can buy them? For example from Sigma or LGC standard?

Dear Valeria,
as you know PM2.5 and PM10 have different chemical and biological composition that vary site by site and also by season. in my experience all the researchers work with air-derived/ air collected samples. I have searched for PM standards but i have found only polimeric microparticle without contaminants. I think you could have more samples and by direct collecction with impactor of collection with filter and ultrasonic removal.
