Yes,people will be able to socialize like before as this Pandemic is temporary and as such people can forget about it and continue with their lives. Am saying this base on experience from the part of the world that am living presently.
The presence of multiple social media platforms like Facebook et al., has already had great impact on the way people socialize even before the outbreak of the novel corona virus pandemic.
After the pandemic, life would go on as usual and people will relate freely with one another again without fear howbeit, minimally, due to multiple social media platforms rather than fear.
Behaviour has drastically changed and over a period of 6 months. Some will go back to how they were before, many will not.
Public transport will be used less for a long time, theatres entered with trepidation and customers in supermarkets will keep to a reduced level. Habits form easily. I kept to high risk activity so negative habits will not have gathered.
This issue is very uncertain, however I share some thoughts...
I think as time goes by, people will gradually go back to previous forms of relating to each other, since the need to socialize and physical contact and touch are essential needs for human beings. Of course, there are regional and cultural differences in various parts of the world. That's why I speak about previous forms of relating to each other.
Also, as a result of a learning process, people will become more aware of the risks involved in socializing (which not necessarily means living in fear), and in case of future threats of viral or other infectious diseases, it will be easier to achieve social distance and alternative ways of relating through virtual medias and social networks.
We all know that the responsible agent of this pandemic is Corona virus. No medicine can directly produce any impact on the virus because they are the interface between living and nonliving life. They remain as a non living substance for many years in any surface. Whenever they come in contact to any host cell their living interface gets activated and they inoculate into the cell and multiply themselves by producing their copies and finally destroys the cell. Our body needs to fight against the virus, but for such virus by the time our body identifies it could have weakened ability of our immune system to respond. A vaccine is needed in such cases for our body to do identification in urgent and respond quickly by developing its antibodies.
Many countries are in the race to develop the vaccine including India. As per the news, Russia has already announced that they has developed the vaccine and will be in market soon. India is also in the human trial phase. So, finally we can hope that by the end of this year or the beginning of next year we will get the vaccine and may govt.can take initiative for mass vaccination to develop herd immunity which is a important factor any pandemic.
Not till everyone gets the vaccine. Vaccine will definitely boost our morale. But the physical hygiene that we are maintaining will prevent a lot of diseases, particularly in case of children.
The reality of this life is that, TIME HEALS EVERY WOUNDS! So as time goes on, people will socialize and associate with others as before. The history of HIV/AIDS, is a good example where the rate of sex (protected and unprotected) was drastically reduced, until the invented of ARV. The same with LASSA FEVER, among others.
