In absorption diffusion absorption, flow in bubble pump generator oscillates under the effect of thermal supplied, gravity effect, fraction effect and acceleration effect. different kind of instability can be exist, thermal oscillation, pressure drop oscillation, wave density oscillation, flow pattern oscillation, leading oscillation..
Using the ideal gas law and that the volume decrease locally when the bubbles are formed gives a decreased temperature. This is found when opening a soda bottle, (I don't know if there may be a phase transition, but experiments could show that).
For the pump, there is heating which prevent this and instead the density increases (acc to ideal gas law) which is possible when the liquid rise and expand in space. The initiation of the bubble shape would be when rising curved due to capillary force, which is the opposite of diffusion.
When the bubbles and liquid with lower density, is there, an average density and a density gradient could be defined and from that a classical diffusion law, however there is also the geometry of the pump so the gradient is maybe not continous.

for the thermal bubble pump there are a vapor generation, caused by thermal heating, caused a regime transition and consequently fluctuation of flow. In addition forces of gravity friction can caused an pressure losses it's function of vapor expansive volume. another factor can caused oscillation in the bubble pump is the expansive volume of the surge tanks such as the absorber or the rectifier. in conclusion all of the kind of oscillation can be found but it's competitions is function of operating conditions where can force a kind and reduce the effect of other the kind instability.
