I am studying the relationship of Teachers’ Entrepreneurial Orientation in developing Entrepreneurial Mind-set of students in higher education institutions. In my study there will be 2 constructs 1. Entrepreneurial Orientation of teachers and 2. Entrepreneurial Mind-set of students.
For studying these constructs I have identified 3 variables that are common to both the constructs and they are 1. Innovativeness 2. Risk taking Ability 3. Pro-activeness.
My unit of analysis will be teachers and my data will be ordinal.
Now I have few questions to ask and your guidance is highly appreciated and will be acknowledged in the study when published.
Q1. Can Independent and Dependent variable be common? If YES then specify the link for justification and if NOT then what should be done
Q2. Which statistical test should be used for getting good result?

If you have enough observations on both variables,such as 50 or 60, you can run simple correlation for each variable of the three you mentioned. Regards.
Also regression could be calculated to give you a meaningful relationship.Regards.
Thank you for tour question. Structural équations may be a good alternative to achieve your aim if you have a large sample. That 's my opinion. Yours kindly.
