What’s the best substrate to be used in wearable Antenna?
what about the best material that can be used for AntennA?Normally we use copper for printed antennas. Is copper the best option for wearable antenna too?
When it comes to wearable antennas, the most looked for property is the twisting and bending ability. Most of the antenna research in this area is primarily looking at liquid metal (Galinstan) in the polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) structures. You can refer to more publications from IEEE on the same.
Copper on Kapton is a good approach for on-body applications. The system is flexible and has decent Er and tand. Your project appears to be on-body UWB. I assume your frequency band will be in the 3-10GHz range??
