What would be the possible instruments to use in order to measure the work expectation of the workers? Most of the scale that I've read was on the customer expectation. The Work Expectation Profile is a good one but the problem is that it contains hundred items and it can be tiring for the respondents. Is there any scale for work expectation that has few items?
What do you mean with 'work expectation' ?
Usually: the fewer items the less reliable, and - therefore- the less valid.
Work expectation, the common expectations of the employees have on their work. Is there any instruments in a likert-type that can measure work or employee expectation toward their work?
Can you perhaps specify what type of expectations about work you are referring to? Expectations about pay and benefits for example?
Somewhat look like that Mr. Bayazit. Expectations of the employee toward their work, like what they will get something in return, the benefits that they can get or the kind of work environment that they are expecting to work with. Is it possible to measure such expectations?
You can look into the work on psychological contracts. Specifically the work of Sels and colleagues (2004) in the Journal of Organizational Behavior (Issue 25: page:461-488) might be of interest to you as they develop a measure that starts with "I expect from my employer that he..."
