The author of the Vengeance Scale, Dr. Noreen Stuckless suggested that social desirability to be included along with the vengeance. I am confused with that suggestion. Can anyone explain it further? Your response is highly appreciated.

It`s is probably because vengeance is socially undesirable and negatively seen by many social and religious systems. By it people do not wantt to admit that they have such trait. Our scale of revengefulness, also contained aspect of vengeanace, is in fact affected by social desirability (in modest way). the best technical solution is just to use vengeance scale which partially contains reversed items.
