i am performing pushover analysis using SAP2000, on a 5 storey RCC building, which is designed for gravity loads. I am facing a problem during the analysis, the building is not getting pushed till the target displacement nor the hinges are yielded beyond IO. This problem is occurring with manually defined hinges as well as with auto hinges.
I use V19.0.0. convert it into this version and send it again

Abdelrahman Taha .... The problem for Hinges not yielding beyond IO is because Hinges are losing its moment carring capacity and not following the hinge diagram i.e. the Moment Curvature defined.

your problem is in the definition of nonlinear parameters of the pushover load case. the null number of steps had been exceeded before the analysis is over, and hence it was terminated. So, you just need to increase this number and also the max total steps as much as you can. That's it!

this how you defined it. if you want further capacity after the end point of the load-displacement curve (E), so just make it be extrapolated after this point instead of instantly losing its capacity

Abdelrahman Taha ... I have changed the Nonlinear Parameters due to which the structure is getting pushed well ... but extrapolated option didnt solve my Hinge Drop drop down problem.... Not only columns but many beams above the 1st storey exhibiting the same behavior....I am uploading the new file as well in V19 ... please let me know if u get it... your response is highly appreciable .. I just watched a CSI tutorial on performing pushover analysis. The difference i noticed is defining the column hinge using (M3) degree of freedom, and it seems to solve your problem. However, I don't know why including P in the hinge degree of freedom would cause this problem. Also, I don't know why you used the "mode" option instead of "acceleration" when defining the load type. I hope you have a specific reason for that. I'd say you maybe need to read the analysis manual of SAP2000 and fully understand each step of the pushover analysis procedure before trusting any results you get.
