In general, you have a lot of options regards the statistical methods that you can apply. This go from parametric, non-parametric to more robust ore alternatives test or statistical approaches.

To determine who test will be more suitable for your data and propose, you have to look to some descriptives-preliminary things, essentially:

a. It is valid, reliability and convenient to calculate a summed ore compose variable from differents items/questions?

b. What is the more reliable test to deel with my data? Contemplating here principally the type of data (e.g. qualitative or quantitative; discrete or continuous), and its descriptive characteristics (e.g. form of distributions, assymetri, kurtosis).

In the way that you can answer these elementary questions, you have a lot of options to use, and some software more optimal for doing that.

Other important questions are, what you want to analysis? because the possibilities vary in function of simply describe to do something more complex such as compare groups or verify associations between variables.

So, in the way that you can respond to these matters you may have a more clarify panorama in regards to what to do, how to do, and in what statistical soft.
