If occasions were consistent across groups (e.g., 24 hrs, 48 hrs, etc.), then a 4 (groups: a between subjects factor) by 7 (occasions: a within-subjects or repeated measures factor) anova would be one approach, with wound size as the dependent variable.

If occasions were inconsistent, you'd proabably prefer a multilevel approach wherein occasions were nested within person and/or group, as appropriate.
