What would be the best ratio of AgNO3:PVP+PEG, so as to have complete reduction of my precursor and also get 100% capped NPs?
In any R and D study, you, the researcher, will have to optimize your system to find the best parameters at the conditions that you are performing your studies. You will be the best person who can keep one parameter variable while keeping the other parameters at a constant value and then characvterize the resulting product that you get from each set of parameters. Once ou get the highets % capping, you use that in your synthesis and improve on it to increase the efficiency. No two laboratories can use exactly the same parameters when other conditions are not the same. Good luck.
Sorry It's too late but in my opinion the ratio should be 1:2:5 ,try it,but stirring is necessary following during each addition.
