it is widely known who editing pics by photoshop or pixelmator could enhanced the quality of your images although there is the disadvantage of the ethics on it.. But to recreate or design 3D models, what software would you recommend? Photoshop as well?Pixelmator? 3D Studio Max?
To beginners in 3D design and rendering: Blender is the best tool, and is Open Source. It breaks some standards on 3d software and, because of that, few pro. designers make the switch. But is really, really easy to learn and create awesome results (specially with it's new rendering system: cycles)
However: if you want to create interactive 3d visualizations:
I will soon release for free a tool for Unity Game Engine (privative but free) to create presentation support material. Like a Power Point, but in a 3d space, with all kind of effects; real time simulation of models; able to read files and recreate actual experiments in virtual space or anything you want.
