We have cleared brains of lipid using the Clarity method and are now preparing to stain our tissue. A focus of mine is comparing dendritic/spine retraction in stressed mice to that of control mice. We are expecting, following on from other research, that the stressed mice will present with retracted dendrites and dendritic spines.

Is there a protein that I can stain for that will either outline structure of dendrites (I was thinking Actin/Phalloidin), or perhaps a protein that would be present after morphological alterations have taken place that I might be able to stain for.
