The first successful attempt to modify human embryonic genes in the United States is already a fact (Scientists at the OHSU - Oregon Health and Science University) report.

Researchers from the University of Oregon have lot of experiments with the method of modifying - CRISPR and are convinced that they have already been refined, Reuters writes. The results of the experiments show that defective genes from its genetic code can be removed very accurately and safely to the fetus and replaced with healthy ones.

Thus, genetic rare diseases can be eradicated from the face of the earth, although scientists are limited today. In most countries where such experiments are taking place, it is forbidden for embryos to experiment to reach the age of several days. However, Britain has already authorized babies with genes from three parents.

With CRISPR technology, it has been experimenting for several years and is at the heart of growing genetic medicine, albeit so far only in laboratory conditions. The method acts as a kind of "molecular scissors" that can direct certain parts of the genome and remove them, and then put the new healthy genes in the same space.

I am not too keen about engineering the gene Prof Toshkov ,

I guess cure can be found for diseases the changes the cell formation or otherwise . Getting into a noble recipe of our genome , not tooooooo admissible (for me at least) .

E.g is clowning of the sheep ,GMO foods , grafting (does it work for all combinations)

I am not saying we need to accept what is given but tampering should be meticulously done ...

That said, I will state that knowledge is externally acquired based on physical biochemical processes, largely in the brain but wisdom is divine, and internally generated largely from the heart section. Therefore it has a lot to do with spiritual discernment....

My wisdom tells me that tampering with the human genome as well as the creation of intelligent human-looking machines is not only a mistake; it is an existential threat...

Rest assured that there is nothing new under the sun... in Genesis, the Scriptures tell of a time when humans were full of wickedness as a result of being tainted genetically.... to the point where they thought they could attain godhood...(the tower of babel).

Fortunately, there is a  Divine Creator who made everything perfectly according to His perfect Will.

Just as The LORD destroyed the World with a flood and got it rid of the genetically blemished, with the exception of only those who were genetically pure (Noah's Ark), the same will be done to this wicked and adulterous generation that has been totally brainwashed by darwinian evolution theory.

The so-called scientifically adept, who have large brains, with no hearts should therefore be-ware; the world is rapidly approaching the precipice; as it was in the time of Noah, so shall it be in the end of the current civilization. It is these cyclical changes in human conciousness as one civilization prepares to give way to another that has been perverted by the pseudo-scientific theory of darwinian evolution. Darwin also ominously left out the 'partie finale of evolution', which is self-destruction, as we see developping before our very eyes today...

I think it is completely impossible to 'plan' or 'design' something like a 'ideal' or 'perfect' human (or any other living being). That would require that we understand what perfection actually is. Live is adapted to nature and an increased ability to adapt is the basic concept of live - Does anyone here think that we are able to plan all the processes which occur in a normal ecosystem (using our oversimplified, linearized and poorly understood models)? We were unable to introduce a planned economy (and our economy is a man-made concept - we do not even understand that properly!). So, what will happen to the 'normal' ones - simply they will be superior to the 'designed' ones...
