I obtain a OD at 300 µg of my solvent extract equivalent to the OD at 800 µg of Gallic Acid (GA). After preparing the standard curve of GA, I was calculating the µg GAE/mg extract where the extract shows twice above the GA content in one unit. Here is the calculation...

That means, 800 µg GA is present in 300 µg extract,

so, 2666 µg GA is present in 1 mg of extract,

so, 2.6 mg GA is present in 1 mg of extract i.e. 2.6 mg GAE/mg extract.

Is the result justified? Then, what should be the possibilities?

Is there any reference publications with similar findings?

N.B. Near the same results have obtained in case of another assays.
