I believe new cutting-edge technologies would help shape the future of block and mortal education for the better rather than eliminate it. For example, remote online courses and lectures could help augment curricular in under-served regions. It would be great to see a good mix of traditional post-secondary education and new technology play out in the next few decades.

It is speculated that by 2050 with the high level of sophistication and cutting edge technologies in both hardware and software; online education will take over the in-class learning. Increase in post-secondary (Colleges and Universities) enrollment with corresponding rise in tuition is another factor that will make the online education a fastest increasing company. It is anticipated that fewer instructors would remain.
