Doping of semiconductors with foreign impurities has a profound impact on the electronic, optical and structural properties of semiconductors. These changes occur due to strain and stress produce in lattice after doping which is also the cause of change in lattice parameters. These changes in lattice affect the electronic band structure of material ultimately the bandgap of the material. which promotes the blue and redshift depending upon the atomic radius of the doping atom in comparison to the host atom.
