We have a vacuum manifold in our lab and we want to connect our diffusion pump to our vacuum manifold through some hoses but we are confused about the hoses like what type of hoses we can use. Either rubber hoses or reinforced one or steel one.
please use a corrugated hose preferably made of steel. Although they are made of steel, they are very flexible. But choose the length as short as possible and the width as large as possible. For 10-6 mbar pressure it is sufficient to use rubber/viton sealings (please use vaccum grease when applying the rubber sealings).
But you have to look at your pump and your other vaccum equipment, which sealings they have ( O-ring or CF).
Please 'google' for corrugated hose. You will find a lot of manufaturers and informations.
