I have a AE Techron 2120 Amplifier which allows for a maximum of 4 AWG wire. The connections to the amplifier and load terminals are made by terminal blocks with a screw mount connection.
We also are operating at ~50 mT. So noise isolation of the gradient amplifiers and cabling is also a factor in cabling selection. Our lowest RF frequency is 200kHz for heteronuclei imaging.
I have been referred to using mining cable but I have little familiarity with it and am wondering if there is any difference from hook up wire (such as that offered by Belden). I would prefer to use Belden hook up wire, or Carol welding wire since it is readily available. My goal is to find something readily in stock.
