Many gender or feminist journals are pro-feminist and decline to publish essays that treat gender relations without supporting feminism or which place significant emphasis on the protection and promotion of family rather than on feminist values. It has taken months of searching and I haven't located any, which has led to a rejection of my article by a handful of journals on the grounds that my essay is outside their scope.
Question is a bit ambiguous as both gender and family are social constructions. It's quite difficult to support one but not the other. What do you exactly mean by 'to deal'? I may recommend Spanish journals which are respecful with gender issues and defend feminism and any kind of family-couple-polyamory relationships, but in Spain there are many journals that will accept your article, mainly since the radical right has recently appeared in the political theater. If you wish, I coul tell you.

Thanks. Tell me the journal you have in mind and I hope they publish essays written in English. To clarify the problem I was having, I have an essay that explores gender relations and supports family but does not advocate feminist ideologies. Journals I have reached out to so far all turned out to prefer essays that support feminist ideologies, hence the rejection of my essay as outside their scopes.
ABC and La Razón.
You can easily find them with google. Both are large journals and specially ABC has a large history since establishment.

ABC is a good suggestion but its focus is "to publish original research papers, translations, and reviews in the field of Asian humanity, art and fiction and non-fiction literature." This excludes my essay within its scope. La Razón is a newspaper not a journal.
I am having a hard time understanding your question. What do you mean by "totally feminist"? Since there are many strands of feminist theories, which ones in particular do you find ideological?

Chinedu Nwadike, have you considered publishing your paper in an anthropology or sociology general, rather than one that focused on gender studies specifically? Maybe Cultural Anthropology (journal) would be a good fit. I don't know too much about them, though. Perhaps someone else can chime in on the idea.
