If it is realized that the open-access journal you submitted your manuscript has a bad reputation, how best to proceed? The manuscript has not even been send to reviewers as yet. The Editor does not respond to the letter of retraction.
You should have investigated this before you submitted your manuscript for publication. You cannot retract the paper, and publish it again in another journal. So it's best to forget about this paper, and move on with your research, and carefully consider where you publish in future. Good luck!
Dear if the paper has not been published write officially to the editor that you do not want to affiliate your manuscript with the Journal and they should stop further processing of the paper.
