I am studying vibrations in a cantilevered beam. I need this beam to be totally embeded but the results I am getting are not logical. I think this is because the system where it is embeded doesnt isolate it properly and also vibrates, so in my accelerometer I am receiving the time response of all the system, not only my beam. Can anybody help me with a material or system I can use to have a total embeded end?

I was thinking on a block of concrete or a block of the material: Sorbothane.
