I am studying tree species effects on nutrient fluxes in forest ecosystems. I have the measurements of these nutrient fluxes under different forest stands (monospecific plantations) but I don't have enough measurement replicates to compare the forest stands, I can only compare time series (annual values of these fluxes: kg/ha/yr). What statistical test would you advise me to use. I thought I could work with correlations between time series and show that the linear regression is significantly different from the equation y=x but there has to be a better way.
