05 March 2016 5 6K Report

Hi all,

I'm doing research which include one personality scale (5 points Likert scale) and two measures of intelligence. Also, the personality scale use to rate people as in the norm, above norm or below norm. I want to see whether there is correlation between the dimension of personality and these two intelligence scales.

Another thing, it may be that some of the participants are high on one measure of intelligence but not on the other or that they are high in both of them or that they are low in both of them, so these are four groups that in additional analysis I would like to know how they correlate with the personality scale, and I wonder if I can keep them as continuous variables or that I must turn them to categorical variables .

Then, I want to see how each item in the personality scale correlate with each of the intelligence scales as well as with both of them and to find which ones have significant correlation and which items don't.

Last thing, I would like then, in case that I find significant correlations, to see how these correlations change when I check them for subjects of different sex.

I would be happy if you can guide me through, what statistical procedures should I take?

Best regards.
