Hello,

I am just wondering how can we decide what standard deviation is accepted for a speaking test?  For example, if a test-taker scores 93, 92 and 92 respectively in three test administrations, the standard deviation is 0.57, which is good. That is, the standard deviation is not far from the mean (average, 92.33), but how can we decide what standard deviation is basically accepted? and is it accepted if the standard deviation is 3.47, 3.97 or 2.86?

Thank you in advance
