CO2 Sequestrated EOR

1. If interfacial tension (IFT) at the displacing front remains to be nearly zero, when the injected fluid remains to be miscible with the reservoir oil, and in such cases, whether the capillary forces that trap the oil in the reservoir rock would practically disappear?

2. What should be the ‘Minimum Required IFT’ – that should exist between CO2 and Oil – in an oil reservoir, so that capillary forces would be able to prevent the complete displacement of Oil by CO2?

3. As the solubility of CO2 in oil increases, would it lead to an increase in the distance between the oil molecules, and in turn, whether, the force between oil molecules would decrease?

And, in turn, would it result in an expansion of the oil volume?
