Which institution goes first? Are there any rules on this? I submiited my paper (November 2013) while in my original institution (Universidad de Guadalajara) and finished the paper (revision answered, final figures finished) in a different institution (Universidad Estatal Amazónica) where I am currently a Sabbatical Professor (July to December 2015). It depends a bit on the journal and what options they offer, so it might be worth asking the editorial office. I would suggest that you keep the originial offiliation and then add a note using * or similar to say what your present affiliation is. Or just claim two affiliations.
