What shapes one’s personality more: his/her nature and culture, or his/her education? What are the factors that form our personalities?
The common belief systems that are established and shared within those surroundings us are major contributing factors that shape our personalities. Culture, religion, education, custom, and family tradition all have something to say about our personalities.
Also, biological and social differences aren't the only factors influencing our personalities. Individual experiences make their marks in it.
Personality is determined by many factors and functions on many levels. Thus, social-learning theorists contend that your behavior and reactions to situations are the combination of the specifics of the situation at hand, how you see those situations, and what you learned from observing similar situations in the past.

At first culture (upbringing), second education it reins in one from going astray and in the one's nature which sometimes becomes irresistible.

For a child the attributes, nature and culture starts right-away from the institution which we call 'mother' family plays a role of school, society as college and world as university. Personality is only recognizable at level of college and there after hence "nature and culture first"..
I agree that life experience does influence how one sees the world....But resilience, inner strength comes from within. Survival of the fittest. When one is put to the test, rising to the occasion......."genetics is the key factor". There are those who lead and those who follow...The "natural born leaders" . There are those who survive and those who are weak. Look within the animal kingdom look at our closest ancestors. Behaviors of adopted children, identical twins are the proof of the pudding. Again, genetics is huge.

I suspect a higher cohesion of education and culture as a result of education and collective behaviour.
My favorite is clearly the second part of my parameters, ie education and culture are dominating. Of course the indiduum must intellectually be able to accept social rules and education
I agree with most of the answers. Culture is the main criteria determining an individuals personality. Education also do play an important role in personality development but if it was the main factor determining ones personality then people with same level of education will have almost similar personality.
In my opinion each factor is additive for another one and may be for each person will be a different combinations and proportions, but I suppose that everything starts from nature.
In my opinion both nature and education shapes the personality. Teaching will coat the nature with a very nice and polite appearance.
Ayurveda believes that a persons physical and psychological traits are determined at the time of conception and even mother's diet, desires (pica), emotions all effects the psychic traits of the offspring. It is labelled as 'Prakriti' and is said that 'Prakriti Nishpratikriyaha' i.e. it cannot be changed. Again it is classified as psychological (Manas) and Physical (Kaya) Prakriti.
It can be culture or educational or psychological. The fact of the matter is how it is done or performed. An example of a teaching programme in personal hygiene where carers were taught to clean the toilet seat after the resident or client had used it. This helped to cut down on the number of residents having urine infection. Culturally, if it is done in the same way after using the toilet, have a spray wash, clean the toilet seat with disinfectant wipes, it will reduce the spread of infections and diseases.
