Leu-Aib-Phe-Cys-Leu-Aib-Phe is my target peptide to be synthesized by solid phase peptide synthesis. Since Cysteine is a oxidation prone amino acid and Phe is in the C-terminal amino acid, can Fmoc-Phe-Wang resin be used along with Fmoc-Cys(Trt)-OH or Fmoc-Cys(Thp)-OH or I have to use 2-Chlorotrityl resin only, independent of the position of the Cysteine residue?

You did not mention in which form the final C terminal carboxyl group in this peptide you want to obtain. If you need free carboxyl group, both resin are OK, but please keep in mind that 2-ClTrityl resin is extremely sensitive to acidic environment. If you going to synthesize this peptide for the first time my suggestion is to use Wang resin with Fmoc-Phe already present.

My suggestion would also be to use Fmoc-Cys(Trt)-OH and preloaded Wang resin. Also, give some extra time to the Aib couplings ;-)
