I isolate essential oils using a non-polar solvent. I usually use 70% ethanol. can also be used acetone or chlorophome. only if you use acetone or chlorophome you have to be careful because the solvents are explosive.

So, did you use this dilution in the cell culture?? Weren't these reagents toxic to the cells?

if in cell culture for sterilization purposes at the time of the sub culture then I use 70% alcohol under laminar for a certain time. what needs to be sought is the optimal time at the time of tissue culture or cell culture. one more thing to note is that we have to work under LAF.
