Beside classroom lectures, I explored other methods of research activities such as:
Field Trips: I accompanied 12 students from Automatic Control course to visit a Steel Company. In this trip, the students saw many control applications such as: programmable logic controllers, relays, switches and others. Also, the students had a demonstration on plant equipment, such as mechanical press of steel pipes, hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic cranes.
Inviting an alumni student to my class: I invited a graduate student from ME program to my course System Dynamics in order to give a seminar about his company's project where he used a state-space model in order to simulate the response of multiple mass-spring-damper system.
Software workshops: I arranged two-week LabVIEW workshop during the lecture time of my graduate class Time Series Control. Many senior project students from outside the class attended the workshop and really appreciated such event and knowledge they learned which helped them in completing their projects.
May I suggest topics related to UN 17 Sustainable Global Goals. It is varied for the researchers to choose from based on their field of discipline. Please refer to this link.
Thank you Dr. Zeyad Mohammad for an important technique in motivating our students. Presentation is an excellent skill for students to become good researchers.
Thank you very much Dr. Meeaad Jasim al.sarray for sharing your ideas. It's really important to connect our students to the contemporary issues in our countries.
Recommend them to conduct in-depth literature on the following questions
1. What is the ultimate purpose of life?
2. What is death and how to embrace death - why human being cant be immortal like evil and jinns?
3. Why all those high-tech weapons available in the world can't help to reduce the number of covid19 fatality despite the advancement of medical tools and equipment?
4. Do you think the belief system that available in the world today have the answer to the world current pandemic? discuss from ethical and etiquette perspective
5. Which is more important during this critical pandemic - saving a life or saving the world economy?
6. Do you believe in the resurrection of life? If yes, how the belief system of your choice mitigate & overcome the psychology and physiology distress of covid19 patients'/family?

Field trips, teaching them how to conduct research and the reasons to do so, organizing software workshop, teaching statistical analysis relevant to research in our field, encouraging and supervising them to do research, etc.
Providing students with helpful tools and resources, such as articles to read about a research topic of interest, assessment tools/outcome measures, and effective ways of applying for grants/research funds (like how to write a grant proposal, where to apply), etc.
Thank you very much Jamaliah Jamil for sharing your thoughts. Absolutely, we can motivate our students by asking questions. I really appreciate your contribution.
Dear Oluwasegun Samuel Odebiyi , sure conferences and field trips are very helpful activities to give the students an exposure to real life applications.
Dear Dr. Milon Selvam Dennison , lab experiments and hands on workshops are important tools to enhance the students' skills for conducting research. Thank you for your suggestion.
Dear Dr. Eman Riyadh Adeeb , through discussions and exchanging ideas we learn so many valuable techniques in order to improve our teaching skills. You are welcome - Ma'moun
Dear Mothanna Sh. Aziz , brainstorming, open discussion, group meetings are very important activities in conducting research. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Thank you very much for your suggestions. In fact, sustainability becomes an important topic in many programs: engineering, business administration, economy and other disciplines. Thanks for the link, it is really useful to learn more about sustainability.
Thank you Chinaza Godswill Awuchi for sharing your thoughts. This practice of giving them research topics is very efficient in order to give them exposure to academic research.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It's really important to involve students in academic research and invite them to participate in professional conferences.
I demystify research for them. I ask them for their most difficult questions pertaining to research and i bring it down to simple terms. Sometimes students get intimidated by complicated research terms. Once simplified, they begin to enjoy it. I also align technology to research as so it makes the process easier and faster.
Thank you very much for sharing your ideas. It's really important to simplify complicated problems to our students. I really appreciate your contribution.
By giving out seminar topics to students regularly, there findings on the subject matter should be in project format.
I agree with Ma'moun M. Abu-Ayyad , Chinaza Godswill Awuchi , Sachin Suknunan , D A Gayan Nayanajith , Maged Gumaan Bin-Saad , Rose Asayas Arceño contributions.
I like podcasts and referring them to sections of documentaries where experts make key points. Triangulating information in this way with notes helps to reinforce points and keeps learning fresh and stimulating.
1. Student participation in various environmental research projects.
2. Participation of students with scientific reports in student scientific sessions.
3. Visit to different industries in the courses "Environmental Impact of Industry" and "Flue Gas Purification" to get acquainted with the technological process, the availability of treatment facilities, the environmental policy of the plants at all to see the productions in action. It has a very good effect!
Thank you very much, Ma'moun M. Abu-Ayyad for the interesting topic for discussion. I wish you health, new ideas for motivating your students and success!
For me, the most important other research activities that I would like to suggest to motivate my students are clinical pharmacological research and clinical immunology research as it is of great importance in eliminating many chronic diseases.
Preparation of seminars, invited them to academic conferences, paticipation in workshop,s and visiting research centers to learn about modern technologies.
Case studies to undertake. I have taken such case study for final year students regarding the state of economics in the country and state as well and it's impact on infrastructural growth in the country vis-a-vis civil engineering students' employment opportunities. More emphasis can be given to ease the rural life by studying their lifestyle.
Seminars are very important for most academic units. Also, simulated programs must be part of the curriculum for all disciplines. Thank you Aparna Sathya Murthy for your answer
Ma'moun M. Abu-Ayyad, first and foremost is to conduct library visits to let them discover such great buildings and to teach and train them on how to use it for research practices.
Being fundamentalist and observant of what's happening around the world. Visiting from place to place will develop critical thinking on their studies sustainably.
