Recently I used Raman spectroscopy to analyze some inclusions in diamond, and some of the inclusions showing hexagonal outline feature displayed raman peaks of about 367, 690, and 1027, the peak of 690 was the strongest, anybody knows what this mineral is? I may suppose that Stoke lines generated via Raman spectroscopy at 690 cm-1can be attributed to Bending modes of the SiO4 tetrahedra. The peak at 690 cm-1 seems to be a strong group that can be ascribed to the symmetrical stretching form of the Si–Ob–Si (Bonding Oxygen) groups.
