Jcak Sun Hi, cut back refers to the decrease in the time step in the hope to have a converged solution. However, in this case, even after trying to reduce the time steps multiple times, the simulations failed to converge.

It is difficult to comment without looking at the files and what exactly you are doing.

Maybe try with decreased time step from the beginning ? or change your material parameters.

Jcak Sun Time step can be controlled in load.yaml file.

you have two variables , t -> time , N -> increments.

t/N is the time step. So you can adjust (increase) your N.

Also what Achal H. P. suggested, you can increase maxCutBack number in the numerics.yaml file.

None of the above guarantees convergence, if the underlying constitutive behavior is the problem
