Dear Colleagues! What microscope can we use for work with nanomaterials, nanocomposites and biological objects Shimadzu SPM-9700 (Japan) or the Park XE7 (South Korea)?
It depends. Shimadzu SPM-9700 is a scanning probe and Park XE7 is an atomic force microscope. SPM is more powerful for analyzing 3D surface topography and, although it can now be used to measure many other surface properties, that is still their primary application.
In general,SPM includes both AFM and STM modes. So I would vote for Shimadzu SPM-9700 since ark XE7 is only AFM.
