Many of us learn ethical norms at home, at school, or in a religious setting. Ethical norms are sometimes regarded as commonsense. But if morality were is just commonsense, then why are there so many ethical disputes and issues around us. Why do we hear of plagiarisms, researchers who submit the same paper to different journals without telling the editors, including a friend as an author on a paper in return for an identical favor just to increase the number of publications?
