You basically have data of two or more groups of subjects/animals and you'll need to compare and contrast. Here are few suggestions:

1) exploratory data analysis: summary/descriptive statistics and charts

2) pair-wise correlation: use Spearman if your variables include categorical ones

3) regression model: this will depend on the the outcome of choice

I have a one group of animals more specifically ruminants (n=8, Cattle 4, Sheep 3, Goat 1) having a particular eye condition and i want to compare biometric sonographic measurements with the normal population mean of the particular species. However, the said animals are of different age. Plus they have one normal eye and one abnormal eye. 

1. How do i compare (measurements of various eye structures) two eyes  (Normal vs Abnormal) in few animals with a particular condition and which test i should use 

2. How do i compare both the eyes ( normal and abnormal) in the same animal with the population mean. I have to be sure that the apparent normal in the animal is actually normal for the population as well.
