It depends on what you mean by sustainable urbanization. Is it equivalent to urbanization forever?

Of course, we cannot talk about eternity. There are many factors affecting urbanization and the most important one is natural disasters. In the recent earthquakes in Türkiye, many cities were wiped off the map. That is why we are discussing the phenomenon of resilient cities along with sustainability. We are also aware that we need to make serious progress in this regard.

What I mean by sustainable urbanization is a phenomenon that makes life easier and plans a healthy living space for future generations.

Nazif Guler In the Untied States, many states and/or metropolitan, county areas have passed Growth Management Acts and similar ( ours is here: https://www.commerce.wa.gov/about-us/rulemaking/gma-laws-rules/ , and https://mrsc.org/explore-topics/planning/general-planning-and-growth-management/growth-management-act#overview ). How the act is implemented is also the propagated downward through all jurisdictional levels according to local circumstances. So it is probably a fairly good exemplar for 'sustainable urbanization'. And we have lots of earthquakes (and even volcanic eruptions), being on top the 'Ring of Fire'.

Feng Frederic Deng , this Act was put in place for 'sustainable urbanization', but 'urban' doesn't exist in a vacuum - so it addresses the following goals. It has now been in place, more or less successfully for thirty years now, which is remarkable considering the multitude of competing interests across and incredible variety of ecological zones - within a two hour drive from my desk here, there is 273 inch a year rain forests, 10,000ft+ glaciated mountain range, saltwater ocean to major fresh water sheds and rivers, and with an economy from apple orchards to jet airliner manufacturing.
