When you investigate Raman pattern of graphene, one of the important peaks that usually appears is D band, which it shows the existence of defects and disorders in graphene layers. In some cases except the D band, there is another band that relates the defects that is usually called D+D' band. I want to know in which situation this peak appears in Raman pattern of graphene?What kind of disorders stand for this new band? can we say the type of defects that stand for D band are different that the defects stand for D+D' band????

The differences between the D and D' bands are in several aspects. Amorphous carbon can contribute to the signal of the D band, but has been shown that it does not contribute to the D' band.
