By looking at 29-day old cell culture of RBC lysed blood of patient with bile duct cancer, I found long strings of cells. I cannot think of a reason the cells should be organized in strings. Could it be epithelial mesenchymal transition?

Circulating cells attached on Matrigel coated 24-well plate.

Anyone has any ideas What are they and Why they form a long string?
