I carried out low-cycle fatigue tests on a secondary-hardenning ultra-high-strength steel with test condition εmax = 0.9%. It was found that the fatigue life at high temperature was much higher than the room temperature low-cycle fatigue life. Is there any reason why the fatigue life at high temperature could be higher than the room temperature life?
