Many researchers have been interested in improving the heat transfer of the thermal systems using nanofluids. Many theoretical and experimental studies have been conducted on this subject. What is your opinion that some of the published researches on the subject of heat transfer enhancement using nanofluids are inapplicable and useless?
Many researchers are doing and contributing by research papers, models and by projects to suggest an easy, amicable and environmental friendly method for enhancing/ increasing heat transfer between solids, liquids, gases or combinations of the above. In this direction, the technology is advancing day by day by developing new methods. One of this is using nanofluids (CuO, aluminium oxide, silver oxide, titanium oxide, carbon nano tubes etc.) as a medium for enhancing heat transfer. Using nano fluids now a days has become easier due to their availability except cost criteria and it is also proven In my opinion, using nano fluids definitely contributes for enhancement of heat transfer and the researchers have published articles on certain components used for certain applications under consideration. Hence using nano fluids are useful in thermal systems.
Numerical studies on open or large systems. In open systems, the use of nanofluids are very dangerous and in large systems is expensive and cannot be applied.
Examples: Lot of research applications of Nano fluids in 1. automobile radiators, 2. heat exchangers (double pipe, plate, shell and tube etc.), 3. In I..C. engine along with bio diesel etc.
