Actually, In Vietnam coal industry, we have been using Russian and Poland method for determination of coals incubation period. The basic theory of those method was the measurement of coal oxidation value in the adiabatic condition. However, the accuracy of this parameter was not so well in compare with the fact. Therefore, I would like to ask for your way to determination this parameter. Thank you in advance for your attention.

In this project we have used the value from case-study coal mine and not determined it ourselves. The incubation period for the coal mine considered is around 60 days as per the mine data. I am not sure as to which method they had adopted.
In South Africa, Wits-Ehac test is used to determine it. The incubation period varies depending on the outcome of the tests.

During the project of thick-seam at Khotadih colliery, we came to know about an interesting fact/finding that the incubation period of coal seam that has been considered over the period of experience has been overshadowed by different external parameters related to ventilation and other factors like frictional ignition temperature. We have successfully encountered the problem of spontaneous heating in that mine and find out the effect of exogenous factors as mentioned above for actual evaluation of incubation period. In this regard we also can help you in dealing with the problem in determining incubation period of the coal. If you want we also can collaborate in this regard.
