There are two reasons of rejection: Firstly, rejected by editor because the article is not fit with the journal's scope and aim. Solution: find another journal. Secondly, rejected by editor from reviewers' results because the article is not good enough to be published in that journal. Solution: revise based on review results (usually major revision) and resubmit, or find another journal.
Depends on when the message is coming in. I will appreciate it when the reply is within the first to second week. However, I will find out why and make adjustment if possible and re-submit it.

First the researcher should choose the write journal (especially in scopus - www.journal finder.com) so this will show the researcher the compatibility between hos article and the required journal for publication.. The second point if the article was rejected andthe journal wrote the reason for publication so the researcher should work on these reasons to correct them and try to publish in other journal.

Obvioulsy we feel bad if our paper is rejected. But if we see reviewer commments on it we realize shortcomings which gives motivation to us for further improvements.
When a paper is rejected, certainly we feel disappointed. However, we should learn from our failures and improve our manuscript for publication in other journals. The key is not giving up.
I will be frustrated at the first time.but then I will look for the reasons and try to improve my research and develop it.because i never thinking of giving up
If the paper is rejected for non convenient reasons we feal frustrated. But if there are learned suggested feedback, we improve the work and send it elsewhere.
On the other side, some Journals are rejecting the paper without reading the content but looking for affiliations even if the paper is novel. This is a truly frustrated.
Sometimes the reviewer comments lead to more improvements and open new questions are not answered clearly in your article. However, the rejection of your article is not always a very bad situation. I have several articles were rejected for publication in certain journals for nothing and without any significant scientific problems. After that, they got the acceptance in journals of higher impact factor as it is.
You have to know that, the reviewing process is not always fair and sometimes inappropriate reviewers are selected. You have trust your work and improve it as you can.
It is normal to reject some of our works. However, our feelings will different according to the reasons beyond rejection. In my attitude, I respect the academic position of the journal if they give me logical reasons for refusing. Otherwise, I consider that the journal is not worthy of respect.
On one time, the journal refused my manuscript with unrelated reasons to my work. Directly I wrote to them in order to explain the errors of their report. However, they replied to me: your work is not suitable with Scopus of the journals and is not within the readers' interest!!!!.
Well, why do not you say that from the first time?. Absolutely, This matter leads the researchers to doubt of criteria of evaluations and puts these journals under academical doubts.
My first reaction is: "Damn!". My second thought is: "Let me see...". My third reaction is: "OK! This is useful experience! My next article will be better!"
If our article is rejected, in my opinion its definitely our fault (insufficient contents/ wrong selection of journal(not relevant to your field)/ improper submission etc., ) But we always feel hard to accept it....
Rejection happens to all of us, and it can be a salutatory experience. In the case of submitted papers, authors who are early, as well as those established in their careers, will experience rejection. In response to a rejection letter, one should not react by ripping the letter to shreds or, in today's electronic world, permanently deleting the message. Similarly, one should avoid the decision never to write another paper. Many papers originally rejected may ultimately find a home, with rewrites or better targeting to a more suitable journal. This article will explore feasible options for writers eager for their papers to find such a home.
when i submit a paper in a journal but that paper is rejected, at first i'm disappointment. after, i understand that i have to revise the paper by considerating the reviewers' observations and thus work hard to improve my paper and then resubmit it
Frankly, I feel disappointed and hurt at first sight. But then, I review referee s reports - if any - it reduces a lot, and I will know if they have the right to refuse the research or not.
This does not prevent sending the research to another journal. It is noteworthy that research is often rejected from a particular journal while accepted from another journal, so the author must review the journal's policy, goals, and conditions for publication, as the researcher often neglects this.
If the research refused again, the research should be reviewed in full and in detail, and specialized colleagues can be used to help in reviewing it and identify its weaknesses.
The first reaction is to be disappointed, but then rejection allows you to look more critically to what you have written and improve your writing and research skills
Rejection is a part of peer review process. We have to accept it. But it will help in the improvement of the manuscript because of the review reports we received from Experts
Rejection is a part of the peer-review process. The author also knows the actual reason of rejection so, we need to accept it and if required to modification and submit to other appropriate journal.journals
At the beginning of the research career a decade ago, it felt as if the whole world has crumbled and all my years of hard work have been wasted. More than 200 rejection mails have been received in one decade by our group. Sometimes, it still feels like an injustice or insult to receive empty rejection mails without assigning a technical reason for rejection. I discuss with our coauthors and comfort each other. We immediately move on to submit to another journal without any delay and without wasting time to write back to editors for proper comments. I have come to an understanding that publication process is equivalent to gambling. It may or may not be accepted. There is no assurance that a good work and a well written paper will always pass through the review process successfully at first instance.
