1- may be bacterial infection suspected to be Aeromonas, Pseudomonas if gram, negative or streptococcus or enterococcus if gram positive.
2- diagnosis: culture on specific media then confirm by biochemical test or PCR.
3- rabid diagnosis using VITEK 2 automated microbial biochemical identification system for fast determination of m.o if you interested i can send my paper regarding full methodology if the system present.
4- treatment depends on antibiotic sensitivity test results to chose effective antibiotic to be mixed with fish ration to treat diseased fish (fish in incubation period) and to be prophylactic for non infected fish.
5- it is important to determine water parameters especially ammonia.
