20 February 2018 I have seen very unpleasant phenomenon near five-storey blocks of flats where I live. There was a group of 10-15 local boys-teenagers, who chorus sang a popular Russian song "It is my conscious choice (informed choice) {to be a} sad b...ch, sad b...ch" and threw stones at a local man. In his turn that local man dirty shout at them and unsuccessfully tried to catch the abusers along the ice-covered ground. However rage of that local man only provoked those teenagers to sing and threw stones at him further. It is obvious that it is easier to banish dogs away than "people". We live here in Donbass in a war zone and these unhealthy teenagers are probably the children of the local war.
But what is wrong with prosperous USA where 19-years old gun-teenager killed 17 people and wounded 50 people in a local USA school ? What is wrong with modern society and modern social sciences, which are simply helpless in these situations ? It is very hard to understand the sense of numerous reports on educational advances, success and integrity in modern educational periodicals when educational practice shows opposite things.
Probably it's time for modern educational periodicals to address to these recent problems in numerous special issues... However effectiveness of all these efforts remains unclear.
Education is connected with hope to improve insufficient states of common life, but also is dependent of societal and political conditions. In both mentioned examples these conditions are a result of a certain political and economical base ground which produce problems. We have to admit: Yes, unfortunately, many people have no choice and no chance to change this situation in general. Educators and education policy often tend to construct new railway wagons for a better education, but the net and the engines which are necessary that such new wagons make sense they leave out of consideration. No masterplan could be expected. The first step to overcome this situation (perhaps in order to help that such problems decrease a little in a second step) could be to gain safety for the own way of further life and growth. Yes, situation can be very different in our world. Communication perhaps is one opportunity to share experience and to get some ideas and spiritual support.

At least here in the US, it can be observed that educators are watching their classrooms change and weapons being pressured into their classrooms. It is beyond debate that this pressure is not coming from the teachers. I believe that surveys of college presidents oppose the increased "weaponizing" of their campuses. I don't have the latest, but have seen past surveys to this effect.

Is something else being considered more important than education? I think it must be since I have taught, am retired, and I know that having to be constantly on guard for any sudden moves in the classroom is going to divide the teacher's concentration.
What is causing this change in the US classroom is where educational philosophy meets the larger arena of US culture.
I do not mean to be old fashioned, but what is missing is proper religious education. The entire Western of the world suffer from this. No need to think that this problem has appeared now, in the former Soviet Union, with the formal presence of an ideology, things were no better. But then there was one plus - there was no division according to nationalities (unlike central Russia - Tatars, Mari, Komi, Russians, Jews, Germans and many others always lived together, and youth gangs were created not by ethnicity, but by "interests") . After that (in the mid-70s) I got into the Soviet army and realized that Siberians and Urals people do not differ much from each other, at the same time the countrymen of the author of the question are people with a completely different mentality. To be honest, we were closer to Dagestanis than to the Ukrainians or Kubans. A simple example: if the Urals resident said "yes", it meant precisely "yes", and nothing else, for USSR west-southerners "yes" — it was at best "maybe", most often "no". Of course, much water has flowed since then, but in addition to the existing problems, the problem of nationalism has appeared. This is also ideology, it does not eliminate old problems, but creates new ones. In the “good old days,” no one would have thought to blame hooligans for singing “foreign” songs (by the way, thanks to the author, he expanded my knowledge of “native culture”). And if they sang in the Ukrainian at night, was it permissible, even patriotic?
Nationalism is not a Russian invention. It exists in the vast majority of countries. Once in the USA, when I drove in (due to own stupidity) into a black district, I was immediately stopped by local policemen: "what are you doing here, white?" I replied that I was not white, but Russian. And - they said - then it is possible, but it didn’t write on your face, agree. I agreed and drove out. The same story happened with my son on the outskirts of Lyon. Since I’m look like a southerner, I’ve come across many times in the USA that Latinos took me for “their own”. Once a casual interlocutor told me: "How terrible, brother (it was in the south of the USA ...), that in our native land we are forced to communicate using this stupid English!"...
As for social science, it follow mainly to political trends and it is difficult to expect any breakthrough revelations from it.

Our educational system only trains the rational mind - we do not train youngsters to "train" their minds which would lead to opening them to their intuition and a much greater truth about reality. It would also train them in using their will and need for ethics standards to develop their latent abilities. To this lack in the educational system, I would also add the modern diet of refined sugars, flours and a huge dose of chemicals and colourants which make people hypoglychemic and unable to focus on one thing at a time. In addition continually focusing on violence through video games, cinema etc trains the mind to be attracted towards violence. And to cap it all, most instituitional systems, like the educational are built on greed and establishing a heirarchical system of those that "know" and those that do no "know".

A blind race to earn money by any means leading to increased corruption in the society. Everyone is busy making money; doctors, educationists, schools, hospitals, politicians, bureaucrats and even common man. Schools and hospitals have become money-spinning machines. Food adulteration is rampant and to save some money, industries have taken short cuts for waste disposals.

Society has lost some of its values and politicians are reluctant to make changes. Teenagers have lost role models like in the past and therefore for the sake of recognition are involved in gangs, drugs and violence. Parental guidance is not like it used to be. Excessive freedom given to these kids are in one way to blame for this predicament. Freedom is good but it has to be used wisely and not abused.
Education is impossible, it does not work because the Young humans have hust the impact to become equal to their matrix (source of supply e.g. parents). But their mind is closed when born and the heart is open and the most Sources of supply (adults) are expressed vice versa (closed hearded and open minded)…
This leads to the following Problem(s):
Whe a does not clean his room, everybody agree with the fact that when the supply-sources e.g. the parents does not clean their rooms as well, the Situation is comprehensible. BUT many People clean up their room in a mind-set of 'shit' by beeing Angry, having fear from the mother-in-law or beeing frustrated … so the heart-message in this context is: leaning is connected with Aversion ('shit'). The yiung humans detect open hearded the heartmessage and so cleaning up is combined with shit (aversion). It Needs several years until the Young humans are able to Overdrive their hearts with the mind (as well as the adults do)...
Education is impossible. Education means self-education. As Long as we direct our inner orientation in seperation, fear, dys-harmony, Manipulation, consumption etc. as Long our Kids will do the same!
