This foraminifera has many shorter vertical partitions such as Colaniella. But, it is very small and the shape does not resemble Colaniella. Does someone know what is its genus? Thank you!
The magnification is too low, therefore i cannot see the partitions you mentioned. If this is a Permian ediment, then it could be a Langella, if this is Early Mesozoic, then it is a Pseudonodosaria.
If it is the Permian foraminifer, it can be a lateral section of the genus Geinitzina. Langella has a thick multilayered wall and the height of the chambers is higher than in the illustrated specimen, Pseudonodosaria has a different type of chamber growth.
If it is a Mesozoic form, it definitely belongs to the Nodosariida, but not identifiable even up to the genus level.
In fact the image has a very low resolution, but I guess that on the picture is representative of the family Ichthyolariidae Loeblich and Tappan. The known range of the species belonging to this family is from Lower Permian to Lower Cretaceous (Albian).
Section, it is part of the shell, not to see aperture face, what it is structure of shell, size of 250 um, a large spectrum for the determination - among Nodosariidae. or Buliminidae
I agree with Katica. This section is not properly oriented and we cannot see any diagnostic features. So, we can only be guessing as to what this form is. We even do not know the age.
