What is the yellow coloration during the reaction of tyrosinase and levodopa substrate?

I am trying to measure the catalytic activity of immobilized tyrosinase using L-Dopa substrate. I notice that unlike the pinkish/orange brown coloration with pristine enzyme, it could give me a yellowish coloration hence an absorbance peak (shoulder peak) at around 450 nm. Is this normal? Do these pertain to any dopachrome- or melanin-related products?
